Well, first of all I would like to say welcome to OcellarisClownfish.com’s very first blog post. I’ll keep this one fairly short and sweet and just lay out some of the details of the blog. When I started this website, there were a few things that I wanted to accomplish:
- I wanted to help educate people on the proper care for Ocellaris and Percula Clownfish. Hopefully, armed with this knowledge, clownfish owners can keep their little “Nemo” alive, happy and healthy for years to come!
- At the same time I wanted to learn as much as I could about these little fishes. I’ve spent time reading books, articles and forums, asking more experienced keepers and studying my own fish so that I can share what I’ve learned and hopefully help someone else.
- Finally, my ultimate plan was to begin breeding clownfish as I’ve always had an interest in breeding and raising fish. By starting the website I felt that I would always have something else to learn and share, which would only help me in my quest to be the proud owner of breeding clownfish.
So, with all of that said, my goal with this blog in particular is to sort of document my journey into clownfish breeding. I’ll also share information that I find interesting and relevant to clownfish – at least somewhat relevant!
Alright, enough with the boring background stuff. (Watch out, here comes the big tease!) My next blog post will introduce the specific fish that I hope to breed. I’ll probably also tell you about the other clownfish that I have that I’m not currently trying to breed as well as the other fish I have in my display tank. So please, share links to the site, post it on Facebook, your favorite fish forum or just email it to a friend that might be interested. Thanks!
